Mister G for International Neighbors

Children’s world music star and Latin GRAMMY Award winner Mister G is a bilingual singer/songwriter inspired by the energy, creativity, and curiosity of young audiences. A former indie rocker turned kindie rocker, Mister G (aka Ben Gundersheimer), is the recipient of four Parents’ Choice Gold Awards.

Mister G has released eight albums of original, multicultural music and has children’s books forthcoming from Penguin Random House. Come hear him play high-energy music from his recent release Mundo Verde/Green World, a collection of songs about ecology and conservation.

Come out, swim, eat and drink and have fun while supporting a great cause! All ticket proceeds go to International Neighbors, in support of its mission of serve local refugee and special immigrants by offering a network of support services, people, and opportunities that will foster a path to self-sufficiency and productive citizenship.

The show is free to FSBC members (with donations gratefully accepted) and $10/person or $35/family for non-members. The gates open to the public at 4 pm and the music starts at 5 pm.

Red Yarn for Jefferson Area CHIP

Red Yarn (aka Andy Furgeson) is a Texas-born, Oregon-based family performer who weaves folksongs and puppetry into high-energy shows for all ages. With his engaging performances, lush folk-rock recordings, and playful music videos, this red-bearded bard is reinvigorating American folklore for younger generations.

With traditional and original songs blending folk, country, blues and rock, RedYarn’s dynamic sound is both rooted and modern. Touring in support of his fifth album, Red Yarn's Old Barn, Red Yarn will encourage audiences to sing, dance, stomp, clap, and celebrate the multicultural musical heritage of the USA. As Red leads audiences through the landscapes of American folklore (depicted on beautiful quilted backdrops), he introduces his critter friends – lovable, handmade puppets – along the way.

A rising leader in the childrens’ music industry, Uncle Devin is Parents’ Choice winner that provides kids with an interactive musical experience that use percussion instruments to cultivate their minds.

Little Miss Ann for Big Brothers Big Sisters

Come kick off the third annual C’ville Family Jams series with Little Miss Ann and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Blue Ridge. First-generation Filipina-American and mom Ann Torralba is an award-winning children's musician, former Chicago Public School teacher, and veteran instructor at Chicago's Old Town School of Folk Music. Her fifth album, "Keep On," received a Parent's Choice Award and NAPPA. Little Miss Ann's band provides interactive, energetic performances and an upbeat sound through several different musical styles.
