Fry’s Spring Beach Club offers a variety of swim programs for the littlest swimmers-to-be through seniors. These classes are open to both members and non-members.
Group Swim Lessons
Group Swim lessons at FSBC are offered through former FSBC Head Swim Team Coach Megan Greenwood’s Swim S’cool. Groups are based on age and ability level, with a maximum of a 5:1 student to teacher ratio. A sessions consists of 30 minute lessons for 4 consecutive days. Experienced Red Cross Safety Instructors Janie Owen and Janine Mader both offer private and semi-private lessons at FSBC. Each session is 30 minutes long.
$20/half hour for FSBC members; $30/half hour for non-member
Join instructor Janie Owen for low-impact, shallow water exercises. The class meets twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and includes stretching and cardio.

Experienced United States Masters Level Two coach and former collegiate distance swimmer Kate Stephensen will be returning to FBSC to coach a masters swimming group in the mornings. She has been working with adult competitors in Charlottesville since 2012; her practices incorporate stroke technique and creative fitness challenges. Whether you are a former collegiate swimmer, a triathlete, or a savvy lap swimmer you can find something to gain from this workout group. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
